With a 35+ year career in the Assistive Technology Industry, predominantly across Wheelchairs, Seating, and Homecare Products, I joined Para Mobility in 2016 and implemented a continuous improvement framework to revolutionise the manufacturing processes, safety and product improvements. With a deep knowledge and passion for the AT Sector and extensive experience at all levels from starting out in the 1980’s repairing, building and customising wheelchairs, through to Product Development, Sales & marketing, supply Chain, and an understanding of real life context from experiences with friends, colleagues and customers it enables a greater understanding of the challenges faced which inspires a solution focused mindset, to offer new ways to find independence or mobility.

Lauren Hunter has been working as an Occupational Therapist for 15 years in a variety of inpatient and community settings. Wheelchair prescription and complex seating have always been a part of her practice, with a passion for optimising outcomes for those living with a variety of diagnosis requiring support from a wheelchair to maintain their mobility. Lauren has come from a senior community positioning to take on the Clinical Educator role with Linds Rehabilitation Equipment, located in Victoria. Lauren’s role is to support therapist in their clinical decisions when choosing from a vast range of products and to provide education that makes wheelchair prescription using best practice guidelines, a journey that finishes with the best outcomes for the end user.
