Full Professor of Electromagnetic Fields at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, where he also coordinates the Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering and serves as Vice-Director of the Department. He holds a PhD in Electronic Engineering and has extensive research experience in electromagnetic modeling applied to medicine, aerospace, and industrial systems. For over 20 years, his research has focused on wireless IoT technologies, particularly low-impact RFID-based sensors for environmental, healthcare, and industrial monitoring. More recently, he has worked on flexible electromagnetic skin technologies for non-invasive biomedical sensing.

Prof Mahmoud Wagih is a Reader at the University of Glasgow, leading the Green Electronics Lab, and the Founder of RX Watt Limited, an RF wireless power and sensing spin-out. His work spans RF sensing and power transfer systems, sustainable electronic materials including recyclable and biodegradable electronics, and advanced RFIC integration and packaging.

Joshua R. Smith is the Milton and Delia Zeutschel Professor at the University of Washington, with joint appointments in Computer Science and Electrical and Computer Engineering. He leads the UW+Amazon Science Hub and the Sensor Systems Laboratory, focusing on sensor systems, wireless power and communication, and related algorithms, with applications in robotics, medical devices, and HCI.
