"Keynote Address"
Alexander Hermann is a Senior Research Associate at the Harvard Joint Center for Housing Studies, working on projects related to housing markets, affordability and housing policy. Hermann has been a research at the Center for over a decade and has helped lead the Center’s flagship annual report—The State of Nation’s Housing—since 2017. Prior to joining the center, Hermann worked as a grant writer at a Detroit nonprofit providing housing and treatment services to homeless populations. He received a Master’s in Public Policy and a Master’s in Urban Planning from the University of Michigan.

"Industry Update"
As President of Bowen National Research, Patrick Bowen has conducted more than 100 housing needs assessments, including statewide studies in North Carolina, Vermont and Kentucky. Since1996, Bowen has provided consulting services to city, county and state development entities on a wide range of housing issues. He has prepared and supervised thousands of market feasibility studies for all types of real estate products and has worked closely with many state and federal housing agencies to assist them with their market study guidelines. Mr. Bowen has his bachelor’s degree in legal administration, with emphasis on business and law, from the University of West Florida and recently served as the Chairman of the National Council of Housing Market Analysts (NCHMA), an organization that sets the national standards for housing market studies.
