Accessing resources for post-acute care following surgery can be challenging for older rural Veterans. To understand their experiences and move toward facilitating their desire to recover at home, this study used qualitative methodology and aimed to (1) identify opportunities to improve post-acute care for Veterans recovering from total knee, hip or spine surgery; (2) identify barriers and facilitators to coordinating their post-acute care.
