As a Professor of Metallurgy at the University of Brescia, my research and teaching have been and continue to be focused on foundry science, in close collaboration with industry. I believe that the EUROGUSS Talent Award provides an excellent opportunity for young talents, whether researchers or early-career professionals, to present their bachelor’s or master’s theses in die casting, highlighting innovation in materials and processes, sustainability, and potential improvements across the value chain. I am proud to contribute as a member of this jury and to support the exchange of ideas among the future specialists who will lead the next generation of foundry experts and contribute to advancing the field of foundry.
