Dr. Mischa Bechberger is a political scientist with over 20 years of experience in the fields of sustainable transport, renewable energies, climate protection and development cooperation at European and international level. Since 2018, he has been working as a senior consultant at VDI/VDE Innovation + Technik GmbH on the topics of electromobility, critical raw materials and the circular economy. He is currently supporting the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy in the scientific monitoring of the development of a sustainable German and European battery ecosystem, e.g. by analyzing and monitoring the implementation of the EU Battery Regulation.
