Igor Balaban is Assistant Professor at the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Organization and Informatics. He published over 30 scientific and professional papers and 4 book chapters. His special interest are e-learning course evaluations, learner centered approaches (ePortfolios and Open Badges) and individual learning paths using e-assessment and learning analytics. Has experience in several international and national projects (such as FP6, Tempus, IPA, COST, LLP). He is one of the authors of several surveys that deal with quality and usability issues in e-learning and the successful deployment of ePortfolios. He coordinates Europortfolio: A European Network of Eportfolio Experts and Practitioners, a LLP KA3-ICT project. One of the latest deliverables of the project dealing with the Maturity Framework for Learning spaces was referenced in Horizon 2015 report.
