Kate leads the Eastern City Business Improvement District – part of the Primera portfolio of investment partnerships operating across London. The Eastern City is the largest occupier BID in the UK by income and is seen as a valued strategic partner in the City of London, working with businesses, developers and statutory partners on agenda setting initiatives, and playing its part in cementing the reputation of the UK’s leading CBD, both at home and internationally. Prior to taking up her role in the Eastern City, Kate was Director of External Affairs at Primera, the London based global place leadership consultancy. With a background in communications and destination marketing, Kate has more than 20 years’ experience working for corporate and consumer clients, in both the public and private sectors. Before joining Primera Kate worked for leading PR agencies for many years working on projects including King’s Cross and the opening of High Speed 1 and St Pancras International. Kate started her career in the public sector, including working at the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG), advising the then Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott and the current Foreign Secretary (then Housing Minister) Yvette Cooper on communication issues.
