Dr Siddiqi is a Research Associate in the Department of Psychology at the University of Bath. He is a member of the Ocean REFuel research team, where he studies public perceptions, attitudes, and social acceptance of hydrogen- and ammonia-based energy systems to support evidence-based pathways for the low-carbon energy transition. His broader research focuses on the human dimensions of energy and environmental change, including community responses to emerging energy technologies and extreme weather events. Usman holds a PhD in Public Policy from Oregon State University, where he was a Fulbright Scholar and taught in the School of Public Policy for five years. He has extensive experience in university teaching, research supervision, and academic leadership in Pakistan. His work has been published in international peer-reviewed journals. He previously served as Editor of the Journal of Political Science for nearly a decade and has edited multiple conference proceedings. He currently serves as a peer reviewer for leading energy and social science journals.
