Yvan Albani in an electronic engineer with over a decade of experience in systems operating in challenging subsea environments. Currently, he is Subsea Monitoring Solutions Manager at Sonsub, a Saipem business, and is responsible for the development and deployment, as product or services, of instruments and monitoring systems applicable to subsea systems or equipment. He spent his entire career in Saipem, starting as control system engineer for subsea robotic systems (e.g. ROV and Trenching machines) and then becoming Instrumentation Lead for subsea processing systems and, eventually, technical manager for the development of the Riser Monitoring Systems (RiMS), deployed by Saipem in certain Brazilian projects. Yvan is passionate about new technologies and about how they can be applied in a harsh environment like the deepwater subsea.
